For Players

Playing for a team, building friendships with your team mates and winning as a team are all important parts of football. They are some of the reasons we love the game.  But we must also have fair play and respect for all others in the game.

  • Play because YOU enjoy football.

  • Always try to develop your own abilities in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina.

  • Learn the Laws of the Game and make every effort to play by them.

  • Behave appropriately when representing Maidenhead Magpies F.C. & yourself both on and off the field.

  • Respect, encourage and be positive to your team mates at all times.

  • Respect and follow your Manager & coaches decisions as they are here to help you.

  • Always be on time for training and matches.

  • Accept the referee’s decision and never argue with the match officials.

  • Do not attempt to mislead the referee by faking an injury.

  • Safeguard the physical fitness of opponents, avoid violence and unsporting play and help injured opponents.

  • Do not use foul and abusive language & control your behaviour.

  • Always respect your opponents.

  • If you are a substitute, stay off the pitch during the game.

  • Accept the result, whether victory, draw or defeat, equally. Shake hands at the end of the game whatever the result
